3 Keys to Profitable Ezine Ads

by admin

Ezine advertising is something that many information marketers pass by. Even though it’s still a very valid way of getting traffic and sales, it’s been around for a while.

Some people see it as an old technique but smart marketers realize that many niches still rely on ezines in order to get important information.

You can present your sales message as part of this information and reach areas of the niche that don’t read blogs or aren’t in contact with your other forms of marketing.

If you’re ready to write ezine ads, here are three keys that you need to use to get the best results from your marketing.

1.Grab the attention of your reader.

If someone is reading an ezine, they’ve probably got several things going on at once. They are checking their email and scanning through the ezine message to see if there is anything worth their attention in the email.

You have to grab their attention while they are scanning so you can draw them in to the rest of your ad.

Just like a headline of a newspaper article draws the attention of the audience in, you have to do the same through your ezine ad headline.

Use all caps and bold lettering, if the ezine will allow it.

Use action words and make a statement that will capture the audience attention. Here are a few examples:

2.Make a promise that people can achieve what they want immediately.

Advertise a free giveaway product, course or other quality content that they can access right away.

People are much less likely to click on your ad if they are being directly sold to (ie: being asked to make a purchase).

Rather if you promise a freebie on the other end of the click, they feel like their commitment and risk are low.

Try the following:

3.Give your audience explicit instructions on what to do next.

Even if your niche has the demographic of being college educated, you can’t expect them to know what to do when they finish reading the ad.

You have to tell them what to do in your call to action so they can take the next step and follow through.

You can use a time limit on your free giveaway to motivate them to act or tell them that they need to act now before the freebie is off the market.

No matter what your reason is, be sure to end with a strong call to action.
